Responsibilities

Are you a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) looking to make a real difference in patients' lives?

 

Join our dynamic and supportive interdisciplinary team where you'll play a vital role in helping patients recover from injury or illness, regain their mobility, and improve their overall quality of life. Under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you'll have the opportunity to apply your skills, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to a positive and healing environment.

 

What You'll Do:

 

As a PTA, you'll be an integral part of our patient care team, working closely with the Physical Therapist to:

 

  • Implement Treatment Plans: Assist in carrying out individualized treatment plans designed to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities.
  • Provide Hands-On Care: Guide patients through exercises, mobility training, and therapeutic modalities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Monitor Progress: Regularly assess patients' progress and provide valuable feedback to the Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Educate and Empower: Educate patients and their families on exercises, techniques, and strategies to continue their recovery at home.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Contribute to a Positive Environment: Participate in team meetings, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and help maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

  • Document Patient Progress: Accurately and thoroughly document patient treatments and progress.
  • Assist with Scheduling: Help manage patient schedules and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Participate in Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in physical therapy.
  • Mentor and Guide: Provide guidance and support to students and volunteers.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
