Responsibilities

Position Summary:
The Staffing and Patient Placement Coordinator works in coordination with the RN shift coordinator to coordinate and facilitate a decentralized staffing system for nursing services and ensure that all patients are placed on the appropriate nursing unit to maximize bed utilization.
 
The individual will performs specific clerical duties, including but not limited to; duties as float pool technician or administrative analyst technician, interfaces and communicates with various inpatient departments, physicians, their office staff members, and other facilities taking accurate patient information for incoming patients. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Must have previous registration, insurance, medical office experience.
  • Must be a High School Graduate or equivalent.

Preferred:

  • Must be familiar with organizational technologies (i.e teletracking and be able to create patient assignments for the whole facility and run custom reports).
  • Must be proficient with TEAM (i.e able to run custom reports i.e. sick calls, staff low census and daily staffing schedule for the entire facility.
  • 6 months-1 year experience as staffing coordinator and patient placement for the entire facility utilizing teletracking and TEAM.
