Responsibilities

Night Part Time Break Relief Registered Nurse Telemetry

 

Our Cardiac Telemetry unit is a 30 bed unit with all private rooms.  The unit is designed to promote a quiet, calm atmosphere and a healing environment. The unit features include ceiling lifts, pneumatic tube system, and all new equipment.  RNs,  Nursing Assistants, Unit Assistants and Monitor Techs care for a cardiac population with arrhythmias, pre/post cardiac intervention (with sheath removals), and pre/ post op Cardiac Surgical patients.    

 

The incumbent provides, coordinates and directs care to individuals and families using a holistic approach. The nursing process is used as a structured mechanism for critical thinking and problem solving in providing effective and appropriate care within a safe and confidential environment from admission to discharge. Each RN is responsible for collaborating with members of the healthcare team, providing leadership, personal/professional development, and conducting him/herself professionally.

 

 

Qualifications

This position is a break relief role, intended to break the nurses on the floor for lunches and breaks during the hours of 2200-0430.

 

Minimum:

 

  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • One (1) year of experience as an RN within an acute care hospital required
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • Other certifications may be required

Preferred:

  • Current Arrhythmia certification preferred
