Overview

Clinical Pharmacist

The network includes more than 30 ambulatory clinics featuring primary care, Express Clinics, and imaging and diagnostic services.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates ability to document clinical activities and interventions such as consults, patient teachings and other patient specific information.
  • Interprets medication orders and/or prescriptions for drug interactions and appropriate drug selection. Accurately enters / verifies the order or prescription into the computer system.
  • Verifies and checks medications prepared by other pharmacy personnel. 
  • Resolves drug related problems by consulting with other health care professionals to achieve appropriate patient outcomes. Unclear orders written by a licensed provider are clarified with the licensed provider.
  • Achieves and maintains an adequate basic knowledge base to provide clinical services for all age groups served. Provides basic clinical services as required by policy and procedure.
  • Responsible for technician activities, performance, provides direction and guidance as needed.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor or Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
  • One (1) year of pharmacist experience + certification

Required Licensure:

  • Active State Pharmacist License in good standing in the state in which the employee works
  • Board Certification in a Pharmacy Specialty, based on the specialty title under which the employee works
  • BLS-CPR
