Uses outstanding customer service skills to schedule surgical procedures, perform pre-admission patient
consultations and insurance authorizations. Utilizes software applications, and/or other supporting systems or
documentation to ensure scheduling accuracy and expediency. Provides front office support for the practice.
High School Diploma/GED
One year prior front office or clerical experience required
Basic Computer skills, Outlook, window-based programs
Ability to organize work so that productivity and effectiveness are maximized
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
One year surgical scheduling experience
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred; Cerner strongly preferred
