Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Cath Lab tech at St. Anne Hospital,  you’ll care for adult patients undergoing cardiac and IR procedures in the Cath/IR lab.  

 

The Cath/IR Lab runs as a team; every person on the team has an important role that directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.  We cross train our Techs to support both the Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology to further your career and increase your skills to care for our patients.

 

 Responsibilities: 

  • Care for patients undergoing special interventional diagnostic and therapeutic exams of the heart and blood vessels
  • Participate in cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures
  • Review and record patient history and supporting clinical data
  • Perform exams and procedures using C-arms, fluoroscopy, and tomography to obtain a record of data for review by providers

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, and one year of recent related work experience which may be obtained through practical education/training; OR
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology.  

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 1 (RCIS), with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and license to practice in the state of Washington, OR American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and State of Washington Certification
  •  Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
  • ACLS certification required.

Cardiovascular Technologist Cert: Must possess Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

Cardiovascular Technologist Non-Registered:  Employees who do not have RCIS (but otherwise meet the qualifications for the core job) must be assigned to this level, and they have six months from date of hire to obtain it.
