About the Role:

As a CT Technologist on our night shift, you'll be an essential part of our diagnostic imaging team. You'll utilize advanced computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce detailed cross-section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues, all in compliance with strict safety procedures and protocols. Your ability to interpret physician’s scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and meticulously operate CT scan equipment will be paramount.

A Day in the Life:

Your responsibilities will span a variety of critical tasks, including:

  • Precision Imaging: Interpreting physician orders to capture accurate and high-quality images.
  • Patient Care & Comfort: Administering contrast materials, positioning patients expertly, and providing basic patient care to ensure comfort and safety throughout the scanning process.
  • Equipment Mastery: Preparing and operating advanced CT scan equipment with proficiency.
  • Dynamic Work Environment: Maneuvering equipment and patients with care and efficiency.
  • Accurate Documentation: Submitting accurate and timely imaging, patient history documentation, and case charges to maintain comprehensive records.
  • Team Collaboration: Supporting departmental initiatives that enhance both patient and employee satisfaction.
  • Independent Judgment: Performing a variety of technical procedures that demand independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
  • Continuous Learning: Being accountable for keeping your skills current and actively pursuing your own professional development and education. This includes attending department meetings, learning from radiologists, and staying informed about CHI Franciscan standards, protocols, and procedures specific to the CT function.
  • Quality Assurance: Performing quality assurance audits and activities, as well as incidental office duties as needed, to ensure timely and complete patient records, and to contribute to a highly functioning department and team.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring:

  • Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, including coursework in cross-sectional anatomy and/or demonstrated skill/knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy.
  • Experience: One year of dedicated work experience as a CT Technologist is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) required.
    • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification required.
    • State of Washington Registration as a Radiologic Technologist required.
    • CT Registration is preferred.
