A Licensed Vocational Nurse performs nursing duties within the guidelines of hospital policies and procedures. The LVN will provide primary skin care to residents with emphasis on treatment and therapy of skin disorders. The LVN also will assist in modifying the treatment regimen to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident in accordance with the established medical practices and the requirements of CMS (Center for Medicare Services) and OBRA Guidelines on Pressure ulcers. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Community Hospital of San Bernardino. The employee shall support Community Hospital of San Bernardino strategic plan and the goals and direction of the quality improvement, process, and activities.

• This position requires a High School Diploma or Equiv.
• Graduation from an accredited Licesed Vocational Nursing program holding a current California LVN License.
• 1 year of acute care experience in an acute/sub-acute or long term care facility (with an additional emphesis on treatment and therapy of skin disorders)
• Current BLS (issued by the American heart Association) and IV Certification. IV cert. must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
