Responsibilities

The Radiographer II, under the general supervision of the Medical Imaging Management team and the direction of the Radiologist, performs high-quality diagnostic imaging exams within the California State and national license scope of practice. This role involves operating complex mobile and stationary imaging equipment in various patient care settings to obtain quality diagnostic images in at least two modalities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures across at least two modalities in accordance with established standards and regulations.
  • Operate mobile and stationary imaging equipment effectively in various patient care settings.
  • Input and retrieve data from Hospital Information Systems (HIS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and Picture Archival and Communication Systems (PACS).
  • Complete assigned duties and shifts accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Uphold the Mission and Core Values of Community Hospital of San Bernardino through professional conduct and patient-centered care.

This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services that align with the hospital's Mission and strategic objectives.

 

Qualifications

  • Two (2) years experience in an acute care hospital setting, performing a variety of general diagnostic procedures utilizing ionizing radiation is preferred. Experience with digital imaging systems, PACS, and basic health care informatics is desired.
  • Graduate from an accredited JRCERTMedical Radiography School and have passed the entry level radiography board examination from the ARRT.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification (either state or national where appropriate) in two advanced imaging modalities. May include: Radiology and Fluoroscopy (ARRT and CRT) , Computed Tomography (CT- ARRT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR- ARRT), or Sonography (ARDMS). (i.e. Nuclear Medicine).
  • California Fluoroscopic Radiologic Technologist Permit must be obtained within 6 months of hire date. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate required.
  • ACR recognized certifications from additional licensing authorities for Computed Tomography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging will be considered. 

 

Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist: are required to have documented competency in lieu of state or national licensure for a second modality. ARRT certification in Cardiovascular Imaging is preferred
