Responsibilities

Position Summary: 

 

As our Director Nursing Emergency Services at Community Hospital San Bernardino you will be responsible for emergency care at our 14 bed ER, with average annual visits of 73,000, and approximately 110 staff members.
You will direct the operations, financial management, and regulatory compliance, work with Sr. Leadership on strategy and key initiatives, and work with other department Directors, the ER Manager, ER Charge Nurses, and Emergency Services staff to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care in a very fast paced environment. 
 

We are looking for an experienced manager/director, with a background in emergency services, and a track record of success overseeing an acute-care Hospital's ER. To thrive in this role, you must be competent and confident, with excellent communication skills one-on-one and in front of groups. You will tackle tough conversations, and above all, be an educator at heart. Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience, and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience required.
Required Licensure: 
  • Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
