Responsibilities

General Maintenance Worker – Join Our Essential Team!

 

Are you a highly skilled and proactive technician who excels at maintaining critical infrastructure? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where your expertise directly supports patient care and hospital operations? We're actively seeking a dedicated Healthcare Equipment & Systems Technician to join our vital facilities team!

In this essential role, you'll be the backbone of our hospital's operational integrity, responsible for:

  • Comprehensive System Maintenance: Proactively performing preventative maintenance on a wide array of hospital equipment and critical systems within schedule guidelines.
  • Expert Repairs: Diagnosing and repairing crucial hospital infrastructure, including:
    • Pneumatic tube systems (keeping essential items moving rapidly)
    • Nurse call systems (ensuring seamless patient-to-staff communication)
    • Electrical and plumbing systems (maintaining core utilities)
    • Internal fire systems (prioritizing safety for everyone)
    • And similar complex equipment vital to hospital function.
  • Rapid Response: Promptly addressing calls for emergency repair, minimizing downtime and disruption.
  • Quality Assurance: Thoroughly testing new and repaired equipment to guarantee optimal performance and safety before it's returned to service.
  • HVAC Expertise: Applying your general knowledge of HVAC controls, troubleshooting, and repairs to keep our environment comfortable and regulated.
  • Meticulous Documentation: Maintaining accurate records in compliance with department standards and regulatory agency requirements.

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements

Two years of recent related building maintenance work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities. Vocational training in building maintenance trades is preferred.
