Responsibilities

About This Position

In keeping with the Marian Medical Center health care philosophy, the Neurodiagnostic (EEG) Technician performs neurodiagnostic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision to technical detail.

 

Performs a variety of technical procedures (EEG, VER, BAER, etc.) that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to obtain diagnostic studies for interpretation. Assume responsibility for specific neurodiagnostic procedures as required.Fully proficient in all EEG procedures.

 

 

Qualifications

Selection Criteria

  • One year previous neurodiagnostic testing experience preferred.
  • Technical training in neurodiagnostic testing or equivalent experience.
  • Registry with ABRET American Board of Registry of EEG & EP technologists preferred.
  • Must have working knowledge of all basic and special equipment in the Neurodiagnostic Lab.
  • Must also know departmental protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members, physicians and the patient population.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Self-motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be a functional team member in a team oriented environment.
