Job Summary:
The Birth Registrar is responsible for accurately recording and maintaining official birth records in accordance with legal requirements and organizational policies. This role involves verifying documentation, registering births, issuing birth certificates, and providing excellent customer service to parents and guardians.
Key Responsibilities:
Register all births in the jurisdiction promptly and accurately.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of birth information submitted by parents or guardians.
Issue official birth certificates and related documents as requested.
Maintain secure, confidential, and up-to-date birth records.
Respond to inquiries from the public regarding birth registration procedures.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
Collaborate with hospitals, healthcare providers, and government agencies to collect necessary documentation.
Update and correct birth records when necessary following proper procedures.
Maintain a log of birth registrations and prepare reports as required.
