Responsibilities

Positiom Summary:

 

This position provides nursing care across the continuum of care services related to patients with valvular disease that may require a broad spectrum of advanced surgical or interventional treatment and services. This Transcatheter Valve Therapy (TVT) RN Coordinator position may be involved in research clinical trials patient and professional educational programs and patient follow-up. Emphasis is on the team approach. The role of the registered nurse will evolve over time to meet the needs of the patients and of the advanced valvular disease cardiovascular team.These functions will be performed in accordance with approved policies; procedures and standardized procedures.

 

 

The incumbent shall demonstrate behaviors consistent with the core (Mercy) values in support with Mercy General Hospital and the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health.

Qualifications

Minimum: :

  • At least one (1) year experience caring for cardiovascular surgical/interventional patients.
  • Current CA licensure as a RN.
  • Current BLS, ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA).
