Position Summary:

Candidate will learn various cleaning methods, proper application of germicides and disinfectants, isolation techniques, hard surface/carpet cleaning techniques, and waste management regulations. Attention to detail is a must. Must be able to work effectively with multiple departments, and multiple levels of service. Must demonstrate the ability to monitor for quality improvement, coach staff members for improved performance, utilize reward and recognition as appropriate to help staff improve, assist with documentation of performance issues and completes staff orientation for new employees as assigned. Must be able to speak in front of a small group of employees. Lead-Tech will report to EVS Supervisor, who in turn reports to the Director.

Must demonstrate the ability to assist Supervisor with monitoring for quality improvement, training and coaching staff members for improved performance, ensuring all areas staffed properly, monitoring the bed tracking system, as well as promptly handling service requests via lead phone.

Minimum Requirements:

• 1 year prior lead or supervisory experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent technical training.

Preferred Skills:

• 3 years prior experience preferred.

Special Skills:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and oral instructions.
