Responsibilities

Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

 

Under the direction of the Imaging Leader and health care provider, the CT Technologist operates diagnostic equipment and performs a variety of technical diagnostic imaging procedures related to CT. Ensures the safe and proper operation of CT/Radiological equipment. Provides patient orientation, procedure explanation and pre and post diagnostic care to completion of test. Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests, inclusive of positioning patient, calibration of equipment, and documentation of findings.

 

Essential Functions


Demonstrates the ability to operate EPIC (or applicable EHR system), computer/telephone/facsimile
Demonstrates excellent organizational skills
Actively communicates positively and effectively to all contacts
Administers patient care within the scope of practice for a CT/Radiologic Technologist
Instructs and educates patient regarding the ordered test, and prepares the patient for the procedure
Demonstrates the ability to multi-task
Maintains excellent credibility with physicians
Shares knowledge and demonstrates the ability to teach
Maintains working knowledge of managed care and reimbursement methodologies
Maintains proficiency with all CT equipment and procedures performed at the clinic
Performs quality control and safety procedures, and maintains accurate records
Recites knowledge of disease processes
Demonstrates the ability to negotiate with multiple disciplines
Learns and retains a working knowledge of PACS
Maintains and monitors supplies

Qualifications

High School Diploma, Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR)

Registered Technologist Computed Tomography (RTCT) within 12 months

AHA Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
