Responsibilities

Job Summary:

 

The incumbent is accountable and responsible for decontamination, instrument recognition, set assembly, dispensing carts, sterilization and documentation in all medical center and clinics as required or assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Requires six (6) months Sterile Processing/Operating Room environment of CSPD Technician experience

  • Certified and Registered Central Service Technician CRCST or Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Supervisor CSPDS or Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech CSPDT or Certified Sterile Processing Dist Tech CSPDT-CBSPD.
  • Proficient computer skills such as but not limited to basic Microsoft and keyboarding, demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of surgical instruments, assembly, packaging, sterilization, cleaning and decontamination processes and proper safety practices including infection control, body mechanics and hazardous materials.
  • Basic knowledge of medical supplies and record keeping.
