Responsibilities

Responsible for the pick-up and delivery of specimens and reports between the hospital and the physicians' offices, hospital clinics, non-hospital clinic, veterinary offices and any other location as needed. Is responsible for the proper handling of specimens during transport. The Courier will also transport other items as requested by any hospital department or physician office, as long as the weight does not exceed 25 pounds and the items will fit into the courier car. All pick-up and delivery points must be on courier route.

 

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Must have a current California driver's license and a good driving record
  • Must demonstrate the ability to handle people and pressure situations. Must be able to be reached by telephone. Ability to drive safely Must be insurable Able to drive safely in all types of weather conditions, including snow, using four-wheel drive

 

Preferred:

  • Past delivery experience helpful, but not mandatory.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
