Responsibilities

CHI St. Alexius is looking for a Clinic Phlebotomist to join the team.

 

This person would use learned skills to efficiently collect and properly identify specimens for laboratory testing and to accurately perform Point of Care testing.  Able to utilize laboratory computer software and systems.  Assures service excellence to all customers is the highest priority.

What You'll Do

  • Performs patient and specimen identification correctly per laboratory policies.
  • Performs phlebotomy and specimen collection following laboratory polices to obtain best quality of specimen for testing.
  • Performs Point of Care testing accurately, following laboratory policies, and reports results in a timely manner.
  • Participates in laboratory quality audits and process improvements.
  • Assists in phlebotomy staff training.
  • Restocks and monitors laboratory supplies, including storage, quantity, and expiration dates, and assists with supply orders.
  • Aids in maintaining policy and procedure manuals.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

 

Qualifications

High school graduate

1 year phlebotomy experience perferred
