Role:
Resource RN serves as a clinical resource for an assigned area. Works closely with charge nurses to facilitate timely and appropriate patient placement/throughput. Communicates closely with and supports the management regarding daily operations of each specialty area.
If assigned to RN-Resource Code, is responsible for providing urgent and emergent response to patients throughout the St Joseph Medical Center (SJMC); also responsible for serving as a resource/mentor to clinical SJMC staff.
Job Requirements
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
Minimum one year of experience in the clinical specialty.
Charge or resource nurse experience within the last three years preferred.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare BLS Certification.
For Critical Care - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
PICC Line certification preferred.
Specialty certification preferred.
