The Main Post Anesthesia Care Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center serves over 25 operating rooms including Cardiovascular, Neurological, and a Level One General Operating Room. In addtion to providing care to high acuity complex patients from a variety of operating rooms, the space provides multiple other procedural units throughout the organization. PACU consists of 40 bays and serves as the space for over 900 patients every month. This fast paced collaborative unit is a great place to grow your post anesthesia skillset with a cohesive team.
As a PACU nurse with us, you are expected to apply your nursing knowledge and skills in the recovery room and it doesn’t stop there. Most patients never realize the part you played in getting them through one of their most vulnerable moments. Honoring your commitment to care for others is thanks enough. Our leadership is visible and the hospital is expanding its services.
