Responsibilities

$5,000 Sign-On Bonus offered for qualified new hires with minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

 

Functions independently and consistently in the delivery of dialysis therapy to all types of patients, including those in complex situations with overt and covert needs and/or complications of treatment through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The registered nurse will be responsible to prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care. This position requires providing care/service to a critically ill through rehabilitating newborn through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an RN School of Nursing
  • Current California RN license
  • Current BLS certification
  • One year of dialysis experience required.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures, a thorough knowledge and skills in the techniques of the nursing care of the dialysis patient as well as critical care patients including expertise in the use of dialysis equipment, resuscitation equipment, and monitoring equipment such as EKG. (Must also be able to make astute observations of the patient's condition and take immediate action in emergencies.)

Preferred:

  • One year recent acute care experience
  • One year of recent stroke care experience
  • Bachelor degree in health related field
  • Computer literacy
  • Current ACLS certification
