Where You’ll Work

St. Luke’s Health - Memorial Hospital in Livingston, TX,  is located just off Highway 59 south. The 66-bed hospital provides more than 60,000 patient services each year, with half of those services being offered in the Level 4 Trauma-Designated Emergency Department. Services offered include, Orthopedic care, Women’s Services, and a state-of-the-art Sleep Center. Imaging services include MRI, CT scan, nuclear medicine scans, 4D Ultrasound, cardiac echocardiograms, fluoroscopy, bone density scanning and 3D mammography.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Market Director of Rehabilitation Services, the Physical Therapist screens, evaluates, and provides therapeutic intervention for individuals identified with disabilities that interfere with their ability to perform daily life activities.

 

Position Responsibilities: 

    1. Evaluates, plans, and implements occupational therapy treatment programs according to physician referral and plan of care.
    2. Performs evaluations, tests, and measurements of neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cognitive/perceptual, and sensory /psychological functions.
    3. Works collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team, other departments and disciplines to assure patients needs are met in a timely manner.
    4. Completes all necessary documentation as outlined by departmental policy and documentation review. This includes, but is not limited to patient care charting, charge entry, completing peer chart and peer reviews, and documenting on daily schedule.
    5. Works collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team, other departments and disciplines to assure patients and customer’s needs are met in a timely manner. 

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current Texas State Licensure (PT) (PTOT) issued by Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE)
  • BLS certification (through an approved AHA program)

Preferred

  • Advanced degree (Master’s degree or Doctorate degree) in Physical Therapy or related field
  • Member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Texas Physical Therapy Association (TPTA)
  • 2-3 years of professional experience as Physical Therapist
