Responsibilities

Job Summary: The Nursing Assistant for the Telemetry Department (4Tth Floor West) Is expected to perform duties in alignment with the mission and policies of the organization. To include:

  • Perform duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan, Joint Commission and other licensing, accrediting and regulatory agencies.
  • Provide care for patients of newborn through geriatric ages. Assist with activities of daily living.
  • Provide basic care to non-acutely ill patients.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. All activities are under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Nurse Assistant certification OR completion of a nursing fundamentals class and are currently enrolled in nursing school OR a graduate from a nursing program,
  • American Heart Association BLS,
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written)
  • Work at a fast pace in an active work environment, and the ability to Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time required.
  • 1-2 years of acute care experience is preferred.


Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
