Responsibilities

About the Position

In keeping with the Dignity Health's philosophy, the Community Health Educator works collaboratively with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to provide educational instruction for community health education classes and programs.

 

 

Qualifications

Selection Criteria

  • Some teaching experience preferred, but not required.
  • Completion of employer provided basic course-specific training.
  • Above average interpersonal and instructional skills with grade school children, adolescents and adults. Good organizational skills.
  • Successful completion of employer provided training including demonstration of satisfactory of instructional skills with age-appropriate group.
  • Above average interpersonal, instructional and communication skills for K-12 and adults.
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Drivers License required

 

Preferred / Desired

  • 0-2 years teaching experience in specified topic area
  • Associates Degree/Bachelors degree in health related field
