Responsibilities

Are you a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse seeking a dynamic role where your holistic care makes a true difference? Join our dedicated Med/Surg team and become an essential part of our patient-centered care model!

 

As a Med/Surg RN, you will be primarily responsible for utilizing the full scope of the nursing process. This includes meticulously identifying patient needs and priorities through comprehensive assessment, developing and delegating customized care plans, implementing precise therapeutic interventions, and continuously evaluating patient responses to ensure optimal outcomes. We empower our nurses to exercise initiative, sound judgment, and independent decision-making within the scope of the State Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.

 

Your role will be incredibly diverse, providing care to a wide variety of populations including adults, geriatrics, pediatrics, and patients across medical, surgical, orthopedic, ambulatory, and even ante-partum and nursery areas.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments with precision.
  • Engaging in vital communication and collaboration with our interdisciplinary team.
  • Following established policies and procedures to ensure top-tier care.
  • Creating individualized, patient-centered plans of care.
  • Responding expertly to inquiries, concerns, and complaints from patients and their families.
  • Educating patients and families on medications, treatments, and home care instructions.
  • Maintaining thorough and accurate medical record documentation.

Qualifications

Required

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Minnesota

BLS
