Responsibilities

This job is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting all patient and non-patient areas of the hospital and satellite facilities under the direction of the Environmental Services Supervisor and Director of Security and Environmental Services. Counting, sorting, and stocking of clean linen in preparation for use and maintaining prompt delivery of linen items to the hospital units. In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health, the Housekeeper/Linen Service Worker applies Dignity Health Core Values to the performance of every job duty. Incumbents in this position shall comply with all applicable laws and rules including the Dignity Health Standards of Conduct and Dignity Health policies and procedures that apply to his/her job responsibilities, seek guidance when in doubt, promptly report any potential or suspected violation of Dignity Health Standards of Conduct, Dignity Health policy or procedure or applicable laws/regulations and when requested, assist Dignity Health personnel in investigating all allegations of violation. When called upon, the incumbent shall assist in risk evaluation and work collaboratively with facility/entity leaders to implement, monitor and mitigate risk corrective plans outlined by the Compliance program.

Qualifications

  • Completion of annual safety training. 
  • Completes and maintains required unit specific training.
  • Must demonstrate a degree of literacy adequate to enable the employee to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
  • Must demonstrate a degree of skill adequate to monitor numerical readings and complete required numerical documentation.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply commonsense understanding, to carry out instructions, furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • One (1) year of cleaning experience.
