Responsibilities

In keeping with the Pacific Central Coast Health Centers (PHC) philosophy, the Director of Clinic Operations is responsible for planning, organizing and directing primary care/specialty services of PHC's outpatient clinics and affiliates, as well as the management, and operations of PHC. The position provides leadership in providing quality patient care services and guides and coordinates systems, functions and activities of the clinics. Among the responsibilities of the position are directing, planning, budgeting, and management of staff. The incumbent builds and maintains positive relationships with physicians and community services and insures the integration of Dignity Health's core values throughout the operations.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Five years experience in a management position with a broad scope of administrative and clinical responsibility in a similar setting
  • Thorough knowledge of the principals and practices of a Rural physician practice administration. Principals of supervision and personnel management. Working knowledge of community clinic/health center business office, billing procedures, DHCS Medi-Cal Perspective Payment System, (PPS), rate setting/reconciliation reporting, and Medicare related cost reporting for licensed clinics and physician practices. The ability to analyze, evaluate, plan, implement and manage/direct a variety of outpatient, primary care and specialty service programs. Prepare and present, clear, concise, effective oral and written communication reports and presentations Establish and maintain effective working relationships, with various agencies, divisions, departments and organizations to include patients, board members, physicians, employees, medical directors, administrative peers, and community officials. Capable of achieving results for the organization with and through other people utilizing creative and innovative solutions. Possesses a thorough knowledge of related legal, regulatory, ethical, managerial, nursing practice, and organizational requirements, principles, and standards in an outpatient setting. Demonstrates excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Qualilfications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in management or healthcare related field.
