Responsibilities

Position Summary:

 

The employee will be responsible for facilitating Healthy Living educational activities including but not limited to chronic disease, chronic pain and diabetes self-management program offerings. Facilitation of such events will also include delivery of workshop content, workshop instruction, material preparation, scoring, and follow up. The employee will be responsible for workshop planning, individual and workshop class entry, and phone duties. Responsibilities will include use of programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least one year experience facilitating workshops/classes
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish with a valid, current driver's license
  • Must have clear understanding of office procedures.
  • Good writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate sound independent judgment.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with all levels of staff, other departments and the public in a pleasant, helpful and cooperative manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service and community outreach
  • Bachelors degree preferred
