Responsibilities

Job Summary

Serves as the primary resource for the clinical staff of the assigned Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) work unit(s) to procure supplies/equipment needed for patient care. Facilitates overall unit maintenance and environmental safety/compliance to ensure regulatory compliance. Work includes activities such as 1) making regular rounds of the unit to identify and address conditions/issues that do not meet established standards, malfunctioning equipment and supply level issues; 2) training/orienting staff with respect to supplies, equipment, safety and infection control procedures; 3) maintaining records, databases, spreadsheets, logs and related information for tracking, quality assurance or regulatory purposes; 4) participating in budget administration activities; and 5) representing the unit on various committees (e.g., Safety Committee). 

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements

 

Associate’s degree in Health Sciences or related field, and two years of recent related clinical support (or equivalent) work experience, preferably within the assigned clinical specialty area. 

 

Or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
