Responsibilities

Job Summary:

 

Seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team.  The PCU provides care for patients with a wide range of medical conditions requiring close monitoring and specialized care.  The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

 

**Responsibilites 

 

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will assist in delivering nursing care, under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).  

 

Your job duties will include but are not limitied to"

* Vital signs monitoring (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, oxygen saturation)
* Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
* Assisting with ambulation and mobility
* Providing basic wound care as directed
* Measuring and recording intake and output
* Maintaining a clean and safe patient environment
* Observe and report changes in patient condition to the nursing staff immediately.
* Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
* Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
* Participate in unit-based meetings and in-services.
* Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
* Demonstrate proficiency in the use of medical equipment and supplies.
* Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
* Maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.

Qualifications

Job requirements: 

Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program (or military medical specialty training). 

Six months related work experience  

Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant by the Washington State..

Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire.  This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
