Responsibilities

Step into a leadership role where every shift makes a difference. As Nurse Shift Manager at St. Bernardine Medical Center, you will coordinate and oversee nursing care on your assigned unit, guiding a dedicated team to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.

 

In this role, you will:

 

  • Supervise nursing staff during your shift, ensuring efficient patient assignments based on acuity and staff expertise
  • Assess care delivery, educate staff as needed, and initiate emergency procedures when necessary
  • Anticipate and respond to staffing needs proactively to maintain continuity of care
  • Ensure unit readiness by overseeing supply levels and documentation for seamless transitions between shifts

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered nurse.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (e.g., ADN).
  • Registered Nursing License (RN) in state of practice
  • AHA-Basic Life Support (BLS), other credentials or credential modules may be required.
