Surgical Tech III

 

As our Surgical Technician III at the CHI Woodlands Hospital, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiative and Dignity Health, you’ll prepare the operating room for a variety of surgeries. We can’t operate without you.

 

The operating room (OR) runs as a team, every person on the team has an important role that has a direct impact on the patient. Your success in this role comes from your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team taking patients from a diseased process to a healing process.

We are offering a $10,000 sign on bonus.  In addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements

  • Demonstrates superior knowledge and practice in the first scrub role
  • Understands supply costs and independently Works with team to assure that quality of care is maintained while cost containment is considered  
  • Demonstrates superior knowledge of the varied surgical equipment and advanced surgical instrumentation.
  • Assures appropriate equipment and supplies are available for each procedure 
  • Assists in communication with Biomedical Services on the status of equipment needing repair or maintenance

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Certified Surgical Technician (CST)
  • BLS Certification Required
  • Three (3) years of experience
  • Able to work in at least 3 different specialty areas
