Founded in 1887, Dignity Health - California Hospital Medical Center is a 318-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located in downtown Los Angeles, California. As our Director Nursing Perioperative Services at California Hospital, you will be responsible for Surgical Services including Main OR, Pre-Op, PACU, GI, and SPD. We have 7 operating rooms and a robust surgical services program, supporting many specialties, including trauma, vascular/general, liver/pancreatic, ortho, urology, gastrology, and GYN. We utilize the latest technologies and equipment such as the daVinci robotic system.
Every day, you will direct the operations, work with Sr. Director Periop and Procedural services and Nurse Manager Periop on key initiatives, and work with other front-line leaders to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care in very fast paced environments. You will advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators in matters related to patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies. You will communicate the organization’s goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional care.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced leader, with a track record of success overseeing Perioperative or Women's services for an acute-care Hospital. You must be competent and confident, with excellent communication skills one-on-one and in front of groups.
