As our General Maintenance Engineer you will be an essential part of the Dignity Health Yavapai team, responsible for maintaining the hospital's buildings and facilities. This role performs a variety of duties to ensure our campus is safe and fully operational for patients, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a diverse skill set, capable of working independently on repairs and assisting other tradesmen with larger projects.

• Performs a variety of duties in and around the Hospital complex relating to building operations and maintenance
• performs duties relating to carpentry and painting when required
• assists tradesmen and other workmen in completing their tasks
• completes repairs on maintenance machinery and mechanical equipment

Minimum

• High School Diploma/GED

• Courses in basic building operations, maintenance, carpentry or painting trades and/or equivalent experience or training in one or more of the above trades

• One year of experience in one or more of the trades; may consider experience performing related mechanical and/or electrical work including troubleshooting skills

• Basic computer literacy and proficiency

• Knowledge in one or more of the following: building maintenance techniques, mechanical systems, i.e., steam and hot water boilers, air conditioning systems, plumbing, heating systems, sanitation, refrigeration, electrical systems, carpentry and painting techniques.
