Job Summary and Responsibilities

Are you a highly motivated and skilled Emergency Medical Specialist looking to advance your career in a dynamic and fast-paced emergency environment? We are seeking an exceptional Emergency Medical Specialist to join our dedicated team and provide critical care to patients in their most vulnerable moments.

 

 

  • Respond swiftly and effectively to medical emergencies, providing immediate assessment and intervention.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examination.
  • Initiate and maintain intravenous access, performing phlebotomy as needed for diagnostic purposes.
  • Monitor patient conditions and document all interventions and observations accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is operational and stocked.

Job Requirements

  • 6 months of Emergency Care Technician experience required.
  • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • CA Phlebotomy Certification required
  • CA  Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Certification required
  • AHA BLS required
  • Fire Safety card. (must obtain within 90 days of start date)

 

This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement.
