Job Summary and Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Tech to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. In this vital role, you will work collaboratively with our clinical staff to provide direct patient care, support therapeutic activities, and foster a safe and healing environment for individuals experiencing mental health challenges.   • Assisting patients with daily living activities and personal care as needed.
  • Monitoring and documenting patient behavior, vital signs, and progress.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients.
  • Providing emotional support and encouragement to patients.
  • Collaborating effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Job Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent required.
  • At least one (1) year of experience as a California Nursing Assistant required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year mental health worker experience working with psychiatric patients, either in an inpatient or residential setting required.
  • Acute care facility experience preferred.
  • California Nursing Assistant certification required.
  • Current AHA BLS card required.
  • LA City Fire Safety card required within 90 days of hire required.

 

This position is represented by SEIU  UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement
