Job Summary and Responsibilities

Are you ready to be a vital part of our fast-paced Emergency Department team? We're seeking a skilled and dedicated ED Technician to directly support physicians and nurses in delivering critical patient care.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Hands-on Care: Assist physicians with procedures, prepare wounds, apply dressings, monitor vital signs, and establish IV access/perform phlebotomy as ordered.
  • Essential Skills: Perform 12-Lead EKGs, apply OrthoGlass Splints, and transport patients.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate patient care with staff, ensure department readiness (stocking/cleaning), and provide ED support as needed.
  • On-Call Ready: Must be able to respond to emergencies with a 30-minute response time when on call.

Shift: 6:45pm - 7:15am

 

Schedule: Week 1 Sun, Mon, Wed; Week 2 Thu, Fri, Sat

Job Requirements

What We're Looking For:

Individuals who thrive in a high-volume, dynamic environment, possess strong attention to detail, and are dedicated to patient well-being.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Graduate or GED.
  • Experience (ONE of the following): One (1) year direct patient care, Paramedic/EMT certification, OR completion of second term Nursing Curriculum.
  • Certifications: American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers
  • Skills: Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Arrythmia class & IV training required within 90 days.
  • Preferred: ED and/or Phlebotomy experience.
