Job Summary and Responsibilities

The FLOOR TECH maintains assigned patient and non-patient areas in a clean and sanitary condition by performing specialized cleaning tasks, which involve operating heavy-duty equipment and using special cleaning equipment. Duties include:
  • Cleans assigned areas according to established standards and 12-step cleaning process.
  • Scrubs, strips, waxes and buffs floors utilizing automatic and multi-speed floor machines and other specialized equipment.
  • Maintains and cleans assigned equipment.
  • Arranges and/or transports furniture, equipment and supplies.
  • Documents and reports items needing repair and hazardous conditions requiring correction.
  • Stocks supply cart in assigned areas.
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Job Requirements

  • Must have minimum one-year floor care experience or more in Healthcare or Nursing Home. 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Fire Safety card required.
