Job Summary and Responsibilities

Obtain and verify patient demographic, guarantor and insurance information for new or established patients in accordance with departmental policy. Additionally, register the patient in the assigned bed through the electronic medical record system.

  • Create a patient/case record in the ADT registration system in accordance with established policy and procedures for inpatient services.
  • Obtain and verify patient demographic, guarantor and insurance information for new or established patients in accordance with departmental protocols and enter this information into the ADT system per departmental protocol.
  • Ensure all self-pay accounts are referred to the Medicaid Eligibility Unit to ascertain eligibility status in accordance with policy and procedure
  • Assist in other Patient Intake Department projects as needed and as directed by management

Job Requirements

Required Education:

  • High School Graduate or GED

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in Hospital or Health Care Setting
