Position Summary:
Participates as a member of the health care team as the Scheduler for the OR, Cath Lab and GI. To accurately data enter all procedures scheduled in for OR/ GI/Cath Lab ensuring correct patient data, procedure, and any additional information that would require specialized equipment that may be required working with the physicians.
This position is represented by SEIU, Local 1107 and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Minimum:
Typing skills of 35 wpm.
Recent working knowledge of computer systems, including Windows.
High school diploma.
Formal Medical Terminology or a minimum of two (2) years related experience in scheduling medical/surgical procedures or operating room technician experience.
Good communications skills, able to handle very stressful situations, ability to work independently, detail oriented.
Preferred:
One (1) year data entry experience, preferred.
