Job Summary and Responsibilities

Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Environmental Services Supervisor to join our vital team. The Environmental Services Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. This position is responsible for directly overseeing, training, and guiding a team of Environmental Services Technicians to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, infection control, and operational efficiency throughout the hospital. If you are a proactive leader with a strong work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for creating exceptional healthcare environments, we encourage you to apply!

 

  • Directly supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate Environmental Services Associates on assigned shifts.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Inspect and monitor assigned areas (patient rooms, operating rooms, clinic spaces, waiting areas, offices, restrooms, etc.) to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and adherence to established standards and protocols.
  • Verify proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and infection control techniques (e.g., proper PPE, isolation room cleaning).
  • Enforce all hospital safety policies, including universal precautions, proper body mechanics, and chemical handling.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required. 
  • 3 Years in Environmental Services required. 
  • 1 Year of supervisory level experience in supervising staff preferred 
  • Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) certification preferred.
  • Fire Safety card. (must obtain within 90 days of start date)
