Franciscan Medical Group, as part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health,  is currently seeking a full time Echo Technologist for our Franciscan Cardiovascular Clinic in Silverdale, WA. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our patient centered team. Seeking motivated individual to join our patient centered team. This individual will support a fast-paced Center for Cardiovascular Health Team. Day shift with no weekend or organizationally recognized holidays.  Great work environment 

 

Job Summary:

This job is responsible for performing sonographic examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.  An incumbent performs a variety of technical procedures that relate to cardiac ultrasounds that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative for sonographic diagnosis.

 

Essential Duties:

  • Responsible for those technical procedures requiring a sound understanding of anatomical positioning, physiology, and cross sectional anatomy so that individual selection and modification of technical factors will produce optimal results.
  • Maintains expert knowledge in sonography examinations at a technical level.  Maintains general knowledge with the sonography equipment.
  • Responsible for proper scheduling, reporting, and filing of all sonography examinations.
  • Prepares patients for sonography procedures.
  • Processes and labels all exams.
  • Attends class seminars on new developments in technical improvements in sonography. Presents in-services to other departmental employees on procedures, as directed.

Job Requirements

Education/ Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduation from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound program.  
  • One year of post-graduate experience in cardiac ultrasound and/or demonstrated high degree of proficiency, knowledge, and acuity in the field of diagnostics or ultrasound is preferred.

Licensure/Certifications:

 

  • Current registration by ARDMS, or current certification by Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
  • Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.
