Job Summary and Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing MRI procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision.  Interviews patients to obtain history for MRI compatibility, explains procedures, obtains signatures on necessary paperwork.  Inputs patient information into the computer and chooses appropriate protocol adhering to physician orders.  Assists in positioning the patients for the procedure. 

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1-year MRI experience required. 
  • Will be required to rotate work schedule between MHB MSH as required.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel.
  • Must have the ability to read, write and speak English.
  • MRI License, CA Radiology Technologist (R), (F), ARRT (R), (F) and BLS (AHA) required.
  • Traveler (contracted staff do not require Fluoro). 

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
