Position Summary:
The Emergency Department Float Pool Registered Nurse provides care to adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department and Psych Hold areas. Medical/clinical knowledge, technical and clinical skills, clinical judgment, interpersonal skills and communication as indicated in the current Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals are essential components of nursing practice.
This position is represented by CNA and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Minimum:
Two (2) years’ experience as an RN in the Emergency Department.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
RN = Registered Nurse license from the State of NV Nursing Board.
CT CPRBLS - Basic Life Support – AHA
CT CPRACLS - Advanced Life Support – AHA
CT CPRPALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support CPR (Required within 6 months of hire).
TNCC = Trauma Nurse Core Course (Required within 6 months of hire).
NIHSS = NIH Stroke-AM Stroke ASC-Nat'l-Training upon hire/transfer.
Preferred:
Float Pool experience.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Certification in Specialty Area.
