Several endoscopic advances as well as novel therapeutic treatments are in use at Virginia Mason, including ERCP with endoscopic ultrasound. Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse provides high quality, skilled nursing care across a diverse patient population with a wide variety of acute and critical conditions. Our nurses assist patients to achieve optimum health and functional health status following an illness requiring hospitalization.

We require: 

• Current WA State RN license is required before start date.
• One (1+) years recent RN experience with acute care patients.
• CPR certification is required every two years or as specified by the work.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
• Specialty Certification CGRN preferred.
• ACLS will be required within 60 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current Therapeutic GI Endoscopy experience is strongly preferred. Will consider RNs with ICU or special procedures experience. 

This position does require some on call shifts: The requirements are: (1) full weekend per month. The weekend on call begins Saturday morning at 7am - Monday at 07.00am; plus (2) weeknights per month. These two weeknight shifts are generally NOT scheduled back-to-back. Weeknight call begins at 5:30pm-0700 am.
