Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Employee Health Nurse at CHI St Vincent  you will help our employees by providing clinical nursing care so they can help heal our community.   

 

Every day you will work with our employees to maintain a healthy and safe environment for them to work in. You will help to promote and maintain the health and safety of our co-workers in an efficient and cost effective manner while maintaining confidentiality of services and records. You will act as an advocate for our coworkers by ensuring that all coworkers have access to employee health services and other available programs that directly correlate to the wellbeing and safety of our teammates while performing their job duties at Commonspirit Health. You will help with newhire onboarding, assist with regulatory compliance activities and record keeping, administer vaccines, blood draws for testing, and collaborate with frontline coworkers and leaders. 

 

To be successful in this role, you must have a genuine compassion for your patients’ well-being and understand the role you play in helping our employees and new hires feel at ease. You also have the patience to explain the process, answer questions and update documentation. 

  • Utilizes nursing skills to assess the health of workers during the pre-placement health screen, recognize symptoms and refer as appropriate.
  • Provides oversight for scope of work per local regulatory requirements
  • May supervise and/or train other clinical staff within Employee Health
  • Performs testing procedures, initiates appropriate interventions and referrals
  • Documents related to services provided.
  • Maintains and ensures confidentiality with employee health records

Job Requirements

This role will primarily be at our Little Rock campus, but travel to our other facilities will be required.

  • Must have a license to practice as an RN in the State of Arkansas 
  • 2 years of clinical experience is required 
  • Previous employee health and/or occupational health experience strongly preferred
  • BLS required within 30 days of hire 
  • Must have the ability to work independantly with strong computer and communication skills
