Job Summary and Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Rehab Therapy Aide to provide essential support to our licensed Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Therapeutic Recreation Specialists, and Rehab Psychologists. In this vital role, you will be an integral part of our patient care team, helping individuals of all ages – from pediatric to geriatric – on their journey to recovery and improved well-being. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in a rehabilitation setting and develop their clinical skills under the direct supervision of experienced professionals.

 

 

  • Prepare patients for treatment sessions, which may include assisting with transfers, positioning, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Assist clinicians with various treatment interventions as directed, such as setting up and monitoring equipment, providing hands-on support, and facilitating exercises.
  • Perform a variety of clerical tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, answering phones, and maintaining an inventory of supplies.
  • Observe patient responses during treatment and promptly report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
  • Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum six month experience as a PT aide or other experience in health care services required.
  • Some college experience and background in basic science preferred.
  • AHA BLS card
  • Fire Safety card within 90 days of hire.

 

 This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
