Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Director Nursing ICU at St. Bernardine Medical Center you will be responsible for medical / surgical ICU services comprised of 47 critical care beds. You will lead upwards of 200 staff to provide quality care to our critical care patients. You will direct the operations, work with the executive leadership team and Nurse Manager ICU on key initiatives, and work with other front-line leaders to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care in a very fast paced environment. 

 

We are looking for an experienced manager/director, with a track record of success overseeing critical care / ICU services. To thrive in this role, you must be competent and confident, with excellent communication skills one-on-one and in front of groups. You will tackle tough conversations, and above all, be an educator at heart. Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience required.
Required Licensure: 
  • Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
