CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, the system also consists of critical access hospitals (CAHs) in Carrington, Dickinson, Devils Lake, Garrison, Turtle Lake, Washburn and Williston and numerous clinics and outpatient services.  CHI St. Alexius Health manages four CAHs in North Dakota - Elgin, Linton, and Wishek, as well as Mobridge Regional Medical Center in Mobridge, S.D. CHI St. Alexius Health offers a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including: a Level II Trauma Center, primary and specialty physician clinics, home health and hospice services, durable medical equipment services, a fitness and human performance center and ancillary services throughout western and central North Dakota.

Patient Companion - Be a Vital Part of Our Care Team! (Full-Time)

Are you a compassionate and vigilant individual seeking to provide crucial support to patients in a healthcare setting? We're looking for a dedicated Full-Time Patient Companion to help ensure the safety and well-being of our patients.

In this essential role, you will:

• Provide Direct Patient Safety: Specifically monitor patients who may be confused, impulsive, at risk for injury, or require close observation.
• Support Under RN Direction: Work closely with a Registered Nurse to create a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Deliver Compassionate Care: Offer companionship and emotional support, contributing to the spiritual, physiological, social, and psychological well-being of patients.
• Documentation & Communication: Accurately document observations and communicate effectively with clinical staff.
• Respond to Needs: Set priorities for response and support clinical staff in emergency situations.
• Uphold Our Mission: Contribute to the core values of CHI Health by fostering a collaborative and safe environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• BLS certification required within 14 days of employment.
• Mandatory Adult/Child Abuse Reporting (APS-IA & NE) within 6 months of employment.
